PROJECT PURPOSE

Every year, the National History Day centers student research around a theme in order to narrow one's focus and increase understanding as a whole. This year's theme is Leadership and Legacy in History, so in turn, the purpose of this project is to explore and analyze the leadership and legacy of an influential historical figure, Amelia Earhart.

In the pursuit of her passion for aviation, Amelia Earhart ventured into a world dominated by men, accomplishing what no other pilot in her field had achieved before while simultaneously redefining societal gender roles.
